The 2026 Summer Writing Retreat is held in a spacious and lovingly restored 19th century farmhouse set in the idyllic Tuscan hills, not far from the beautiful, historic town of Sansepolcro. Living for a week in this very special place, surrounded by the peace and tranquillity of nature, you will have space and time to immerse yourself in your imagination and creativity in the company of fellow writers.

Every morning from 9.30-1.00 is set aside for participants to focus on their individual writing projects.  In the afternoon, you have the option of a 1 to 1 tutorial or a two-hour group session to share work and get feedback, or you are welcome to carry on with your own writing if you prefer. Each participant will have the opportunity of two individual tutorials with Rebecca in the course of the retreat.

Breakfast and lunch are provided each day of the retreat, served al fresco on the terrace and featuring fresh, local produce. Dinner is provided at the farmhouse on 5 nights of your stay, with outings to excellent local restaurants on the other 2 nights. All meals at the farmhouse are included in the price of the retreat.

During the week, you can also relax by the pool, walk in the lovely local countryside, and explore the nearby historic town of Sansepolcro (9 miles away), home to exquisite paintings by the artist Piero della Francesca. For those in need of further cultural nourishment, Perugia, Arezzo and Florence are all within striking distance by car and rail.

Retreat dates:The dates of the 2026 retreat are Thursday 20th - Thursday 27th August. There are places for a maximum of 7 people. All rooms are single occupancy. Bathrooms are shared.

Retreat fee: The fee for the week is £1,950. This includes full board, accommodation, two 1:1 tutorials and two writing workshops.

Flights, transfers and local transport are not included. Car hire is recommended.
